- Well, the article on 大勢 also claims it is a noun. Both are actually sort of counter words. Consider:
- ここに日本人が60人います。 - There are 60 Japanese people here.
- ここに日本人が沢山います。 = ここに日本人が大勢います。 - There are many Japanese people here.

If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
