As I noticed that that model had not been used on sheila, I went to the discussion page of that model, and it seemed that other people were complaining about the systematic red-linking using that model. So I removed it from bruce as well. I still fail to see the point of making two separate entries for a noun and its plural, but nevermind, I'll use the model next time. Thanks for the pointer. While it may seem silly for regular English nouns, we strive to cater to all our users, some of whom do not speak English as a first language. Not all English nouns are regular, and even the regular ones may have odd pronunciations (the -s may be pronounced /s/ as in cats, or /z/ as in dogs). Additionally, some plural nouns have meanings that do not exist for the singular forms. These plurals become even more important for highly-inflected languages (which we also include), where there is more than one plural form, and other forms not readily predictable for readers who do not natively speak the language. Consider Latin diēs for example. It is thus community consensus that all forms of the word have an entry, including the regular English plurals, and these are linked to from the main entry via template. --EncycloPetey 19:10, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
