Uskok (plural Uskoks)

  1. (historical) A member of a group of irregular soldiers in Habsburg Croatia who inhabited the eastern Adriatic coast and surrounding territories during the Ottoman wars in Europe, and fought a guerrilla war against the Ottomans.
