Hazargi in entries[edit]
The etymology-only language code for Hazaragi is haz and all primary Hazaragi entries should be marked with {{lb|fa|haz}} before the definition.
Hazaragi is subsumed under ==Persian== with the code fa due to the fact that Hazaragi and Dari are not mutually exclusive. That is to say, a Hazaragi speaker would generally utilize a mix of Dari vocabulary and regional Hazaragi vocabulary in regular speech. The most common Hazaragi word for big is کته, however the Dari term کلان is also very common in Hazaragi. It's important that the Hazaragi term is recorded in a dictionary, however a Hazaragi dictionary without Dari terms would be incomplete. The overlap between Dari and Hazaragi could lead to the duplication of nearly every Dari entry which would be unsustainable.
Still, there are special considerations to keep in mind for Hazaragi as opposed to other varieties of Persian. Information not specified below is the same as other varieties of Persian.
About retroflex forms[edit]
In standard Dari, words borrowed from languages with retroflex consonants should be converted to dentals. However, Hazaragi and some other regional varieties of Dari often preserve retroflex consonants in loanwords from Hindustani and Pashto, (or more rarely retroflexes may appear in Turkic and Mongolic loan words from pronunciation changes).
However, there are no retroflex consonants in the standard Dari alphabet (or any standardized variety of Persian). In Hazargi dictionaries attempting to show pronunciation there is free variation between retroflex consonants from Urdu ڈ ٹ and Pashto ډ ټ. Hazaragi speakers using this dictionary should not be expected to use non-standard characters to find certain terms, especially if there are multiple possible characters that could be used. But retroflex consonants are often used in Hazaragi dictionaries. As such, the main entry of Hazaragi terms with retroflex consonants should always be written with dentals د ت. Entries with retroflex consonants (in this example کٹه) should forward the reader to the standard Dari spelling.

If the term does not have a standardized Dari form, this should still be the case. So that Hazaragi speakers can easily find the term they're looking for.
Transliteration[edit]
Hazaragi utilizes a similar transliteration to Dari, despite differences in phonology (See Wiktionary:Persian transliteration/Dari). The only Hazaragi phonemes not found in Standard Dari are the retroflexes of /t/ and /d/ both of which are defined below.

Pronunciation[edit]
The {{fa-IPA}} is able to accurately (or mostly accurately) produce pronunciations in Standard Dari, Standard Iranian Persian, and Standard Tajik from a provided classical pronunciation using consistent pronunciation shifts that occurred from Classical Persian to modern varieties of Persian.
There is not as much detailed research regarding pronunciation shifts from Classical Persian to Hazaragi. Still, using the most common pronunciation shifts, the module can produce an approximate pronunciation for Hazaragi. However since some Hazaragi pronunciation shifts are irregular, not studied enough, or are not consistent enough to be generated by the module. Many pronunciation shifts in Hazaragi cannot be reliably predicted by the module. As such, Hazaragi pronunciations are not always accurate, but are usually close. If you're a native speaker of Hazaragi and see an incorrect pronunciation, Hazaragi pronunciations can always be overwritten by entering the romanized pronunciation in the field "haz".

However the Dictionary is uploaded as a picture and is not searchable, the dictionary would have to be scrolled manually. Not all terms are exclusive to Hazaragi and many terms are also present in Kabuli so take caution.
