Description[edit]

This list contains entries that lack a headword line. Mostly, this is because they are missing a {{head}} template or one of the language-specific headword-line templates.

Technically speaking, the list contains entries that:

  • do not transclude Module:headword or one of the CJK cross-reference templates ({{zh-see}}, {{ja-see}}, {{ja-see-kango}} or {{ja-gv}}), and
  • are not members of a category whose name ends in "lemmas", "non-lemma forms", "entries that don't exist" (generated by {{no entry}}) or "block" (for Unicode character entries).

Entries marked for speedy deletion are left off the list.

The list does not contain entries where some language sections have headword lines and others do not. For these, consult the "missing headword templates" filter log or recent changes with the "no-head-temp" tag.

Cleanup instructions[edit]

Most entries on this list do not have a headword line at all. Add the {{head}} template or a language-specific headword-line template. This also applies when an entry's headword line has been hand-coded using bold and italic markup.

In a few cases, language-specific headword-line templates that are custom-coded (do not internally include {{head}}) and fail to include the correct categories will cause a page to show up on this list. Fix the coding of these headword-line templates to use {{head}} (example).
