  1. (rare, humorous) A pseudo-title of respect used towards a duke.
    • 1888 October 27, “The Fakir In England”, in Grip, volume 31, number 803, page 4:
      "Proud to make the acquaintance of your Dukeness," I said, hastily swallowing a quantity of tobacco-juice.
