ab- +‎ poral. First defined by the palynologist Roger Philip Wodehouse in 1928.

abporal (comparative more abporal, superlative most abporal)

  1. (palynology) Located to the side of an ectoaperture such as a pore. Typically used in reference to an abporal lacuna or hemisphere.
