English[edit]

Etymology[edit]

See absolviture and absolvitor, as applicable. The use of absolvitur for absolvitor is incorrect: the correct verb form of absolvō is the third-person singular future passive imperative form absolvitor (let him be absolved), and not the third-person singular present passive indicative form absolvitur (he is absolved).

Noun[edit]

absolvitur (uncountable)

  1. obsolete spelling of absolviture
  2. Erroneous spelling of absolvitor.

Latin[edit]

Verb[edit]

  1. third-person singular present passive indicative of absolvō
