Usage notes

This particle can trigger syllable reduction of the preceding syllable. It is often found in conjunction with a following yaawö.

The form chünane is used after i, while nünane is used after nö or dü (triggering reduction of the preceding syllable). With these forms, and whenever causing syllable reduction, this particle and the word preceding may be written as a single word.
