draught excluder (plural draught excluders)

1. A flexible strip attached to the bottom or side of a door to prevent draughts entering through the gap.
   • 1959 December, “New TPOs for the Western Region”, in Trains Illustrated, page 581:

     Each coach is insulated by a four-inch thickness of fibreglass and heated by two overhead 2 in. steam pipes, while all external doors close into rubber draught excluders.

2. Any other object used to prevent draughts, such as a chimney balloon.
