Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Sicilian cacciari (to chase, hunt), from Latin captiare, captare, derived from capere. The fact that the first syllable has undergone imala speaks in favour of an early borrowing. Cognate to English capture

Verb[edit]

keċċa (imperfect jkeċċi, past participle mkeċċi or (obsolete) mkoċċi, verbal noun tkeċċija or tekċija)
