Etymology[edit]
Borrowing from English lexicon, French lexique, German Lexikon, Italian lessico, Russian лексико́н (leksikón) and Spanish léxico. The -n- in the source languages was omitted in order for lexikala (“lexical”) to match counterparts in natural languages.
