Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Old Norse mǿða. Cognate with Icelandic mæða and Old Swedish mø̄þa.

møða (third person singular past indicative møddi, third person plural past indicative møddi, supine møtt)
- to tire, fatigue; make tired/weary
- to cause trouble, oppress
- to grumble about, continually complain (of), be dissatisfied
- to become/get/grow tired
