Etymology[edit]
From late Ottoman Turkish مفكوره (mefkure), coined by Turkish sociologist, poet and politician Ziya Gökalp, from Arabic مَفْكُور (mafkūr, “thought, idea”). See Azerbaijani məfkurə.
