Alternative forms[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From minciunã +‎ -edz or from a Vulgar Latin root *mentionō (with the Aromanian suffix -edz), probably ultimately from an alteration of Latin mentior (past participle mentītus) through the influence of mentiō. Compare Romanian minciună.

Verb[edit]

minciunedz first-singular present indicative (past participle minciunatã)

  1. to lie (tell an untruth)
