From penta- + Ancient Greek πτυχή (ptukhḗ, “a fold”).

pentaptych (plural pentaptychs)
- A five-part polyptych; a picture, or combination of pictures, consisting of a centrepiece and double folding doors or wings, as for an altarpiece.
