Alternative forms[edit]
- rääts (alternative spelling)
- rehts, reets (parts of western Moselle Franconian)

Etymology[edit]
From Old High German rehtes. The regularly lost -ch- was restored in most dialects under the influence of eastern dialects and Standard German, but remained in the adverb due to the final -s. Compare the same in Luxembourgish riets versus Recht.
