  1. An oomycete, (Phytophthora fragariae) that causes root rot in strawberries.

      The incidence of redcore (Phytophthora fragaria) root rot after planting in a valley ( — 1 in.) on the flat, and on low (+1 in.), moderate (+2 in.), and high ridges (+3 in.) with Red Gauntlet (fairly resistant) and Solana (susceptible) was examined.
