Etymology[edit]

The first sense is the same as German reklamieren, English reclaim, French réclamer, from Latin reclamare (to call back). Used in Swedish since 1682. The second sense is the same as Danish reklamere, German reklamieren, based on reklam (advertisement). Used in Swedish since 1915.
