skyggja (weak verb, third-person singular past indicative skyggði, supine skyggt)
- to overshadow, to block a source of illumination, to produce a shadow
- Þú skyggir á mig.
- You're standing in my light.
- (impersonal, of dusk) to fall; to become dark
- Það fer að skyggja.
- Dusk is falling.
