   The army conscripted 10,000 more men than last year.

   Mi soldatigis, sed la milito finiĝis antaŭ mi foriris al soldattrejnado, do la armeo liberigis min de mia milita devigo.

   I was drafted but the war came to an end before I started boot camp, so the army freed me of my military obligation.
