Azerbaijani

Etymology

From Proto-Turkic *čẹr (rotten, foul; to rot; illness; dirt; to be sick, ill; rot; glue; anguish, sorrow) [1] whence possibly also Azerbaijani çirk (dirt). Cognate with Azerbaijani çürümek.
