Etymology

A compound of εὐρῠ́ς (eurús, broad) +‎ κλέος (kléos, fame) +‎ -ια (-ia). Compare Ἀντῐ́κλειᾰ (Antíkleia) and Μεγᾰ́κλειᾰ (Megákleia).
