Calque of French respectueusement, attested 1846.[1]. From adjective ευσέβαστος (efsévastos)[2]. Not to be confused with the Ancient Greek adverb εὐσεβέως (eusebéōs) and εὐσεβῶς. See adjective εὐσεβής (eusebḗs).
