Etymology

Borrowed from Crimean Tatar [Term?], from Middle Chinese 道場 probably via Mongolian, a calque of Sanskrit बोधिमण्ड (bodhimaṇḍa). Compare Russian топчан (topčan), Polish tapczan and Kazakh тапшан.
