Etymology

A geminate term: Proto-Turkic *sagut (vessel) + (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 159: Parameter 1 should be a valid language code; the value xgn is not valid. See WT:LOL. *saba "vessel, container".

Cognate with Tatar савыт-саба (sawıt-saba), Kumyk савут-саба (sawut-saba), Karachay-Balkar сауут-саба (savut-saba, dishware, different types of vessels).
