Խօզմօր

Old Armenian[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Some researchers spell the word as Խոզմօր (Xozmōr) and explain it as խոզ (xoz, “pig”) + մօր (mōr, “marsh”), but the only extant manuscript has the spelling Խօզմօր (Xōzmōr), so Martirosyan proposes a derivation from խօզ (xōz) + մօր (mōr), thus meaning “mossy marsh” or the like. Compare also խոզմրատ (xozmrat).
Proper noun[edit]
