Etymology[edit]
Attested only in Patmutʻiwn vracʻ as the name of Pelužavr Siwnecʻi, a 4th century Siwni princess and companion to Queen Salome. Corresponds to Old Georgian პეროჟავრ (ṗerožavr) in the Georgian version. An Iranian name related to Պերոզ (Peroz). See Middle Persian 𐭯𐭩𐭫𐭥𐭰 (pylʿc /Pērōz/) for more.

Usage notes[edit]
- In modern sources the name has been written as Պերոզավր (Perozavr), Պերոզաւր (Perozawr), Պերոժաւր (Perožawr), Պելուծավր (Pelucavr).
- It is often wrongly assumed that Pelužavr Siwnecʻi was male.
