[edit]Borrowing from an Iranian word literally meaning "seeking, desiring justice"; compare Persian دادخواه (dâdxvâh, “complainant, plaintiff”). For the constituents see դատ (dat, “justice”) and *խազ- (*xaz-, “to seek, desire”).[1][2][3]
