Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Middle Armenian թախտ (tʻaxt), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Persian تخت (taxt). In some dialects, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ottoman Turkish تخت (taht). A doublet of տախտ (taxt).
