[edit]וַיִּזְעֲקוּ • (vayiz'akú) (Biblical Hebrew pausal form וַיִּזְעָקוּ (vayiz'áku))
- Third-person masculine plural vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of זָעַק (zaák).
- Tanach, Psalms 107:19, with translation of the English Standard Version:
- וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה בַּצַּר לָהֶם
- vayiz'akú el YHVH batsár lahém
- Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble
