Etymology
[edit]Uncertain. Perhaps cognate with Arabic نتش (“to pluck”) (per Klein), or יַקְטוּל of the root נ־ת־שׁ (Hebrew Academy), or ת־שׁ־שׁ (Even-Shoshan).
