Possibly via Ladino Maroko from Portuguese Marrocos, from Arabic مَرَّاكُش (marrākuš).

Compare also German Marokko, Russian Марокко (Marokko), and especially Yiddish מאַראָקאָ (maroko), whose spelling was also used in (Ashkenazi) Hebrew sources from the 19th century.
