  1. drop
    • Tanach, Job 36:26, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
      כִּי יְגָרַע נִטְפֵי־מָיִם יָזֹקּוּ מָטָר לְאֵדוֹ׃
      Ki y'gará' nitfé máyim, yazoqqu maṭar l'edó
      For He draweth away the drops of water, which distil rain from His vapour.
  2. (singular only) stacte, gum resin (used in the production of incense)
    • Tanach, Exodus 30:34, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
      וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה קַח־לְךָ סַמִּים נָטָף וּשְׁחֵלֶת וְחֶלְבְּנָה סַמִּים וּלְבֹנָה זַכָּה בַּד בְּבַד יִהְיֶה׃
