עָצוּב • ('atsúv) (feminine עֲצוּבָה, masculine plural עֲצוּבִים, feminine plural עֲצוּבוֹת)
- (of a person) Sad, unhappy: experiencing the emotion of unhappiness.
- היינו עצובים. ― hayínu atsuvím. ― We were sad.
- (of an event, situation, story, etc.) Sad: causing sadness, or such as to cause sadness.
- תאונה עצובה ― t'uná atsuvá ― a sad accident
