Etymology
[edit]By surface analysis, קליענטעל (klyentel, “clientele”) + ־טשיק (-tshik). However, some say that it may come instead from Portuguese cliente.

[edit]- Brazilian sources usually use the word transliterated as "klienteltshik" or "klientelshik", with an "i" rather than a "y".
