From the root ن ث ر (n-ṯ-r).
Verb
اِنْتَثَرَ • (intaṯara) VIII (non-past يَنْتَثِرُ (yantaṯiru), verbal noun اِنْتِثَار (intiṯār))
- to become dispersed, to become dissipated, to become scattered.

- إِذَا السَّمَاء انْفَطَرَتْ
وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ
وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ- When the sky breaks apart,
And when the stars commence to scatter,
And when the seas gush forth,
And when the graves are strewn,
A soul will know what it has put forward and what it has set back.
