ببوش
Appearance
Moroccan Arabic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Ultimately from Vulgar Latin *babosu. Attested marginally in Tunisian Berber abebbuc, but there is no reason to suppose that Berber played a role in its transmission[1]. Compare Maltese bebbux and Sicilian babbaluci.
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]ببوش • (babbūš) m (collective, singulative ببوشة f (babbūša), paucal ببوشات (babbūšāt))
