Verb

[edit]

بِيْقَل or بيقل (biygul or biyigul)

  1. second-person masculine singular present continuous of قال
    بِيْقَل لي إنُّه ما حَيِقْدر يجي.
    biygulli innu ma ḥayigdar yiji.
He’s telling me that he won’t come.
Usage notes
[edit]

Indirect object pronouns (لي ,لها ,لهم, etc.) shorten long vowels when added after hollow present verb forms (e.g. قول ,شوف ,عيد), so the verb يقول (yigūl) becomes يِقُول لك (yigullak) or يِقُل لك (yigullak) depending on the writer.
