[edit]From the root ر ض و (r-ḍ-w), meaning "the contented one". Attested as both Safaitic 𐪇𐪓𐪅 (rḍw) and 𐪇𐪓𐪚 (rḍy), and Dumaitic 𐪇𐪓𐪅 (rḍw).
