Etymology

Borrowed from Aramaic שׁוּחָא /‎ ܫܘܚܐ (/⁠šūḥā⁠/), also אֲשׁוּחִי (/⁠ʾăšūḥī⁠/),‎ ࡀࡔࡅࡇࡀ (/⁠ʾašūḥā⁠/), from Akkadian 𒄑𒅇𒆪 (GIŠÙ.SUḪ5 /⁠ašūḫu⁠/), a foreign word, including in Sumerian.
