Etymology

From طَابَق (ṭābaq), ultimately from Middle Persian tʾp̄k' (tābag, [big brick used as] frying-pan) (or another Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "MIr." is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. language). For the sense development compare Mingrelian ანგურა (angura, big brick used for baking bread), from Georgian აგური (aguri, brick).
