Etymology

Inherited from Proto-Common Turkic *kūč- (“to embrace”). Cognate with Turkish kucak (“a hug, an embrace”).

1. (transitive) to embrace

   اُلْ مَنٖى قُجْدٖى

   Ol menī qučdï̄.

   He embraced me.
