  فَإِذَا هَدَأَتْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ سَاعَةً رُفِعَتْ، وَيُذَرُّ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا ٱلْكَمُّونُ وَٱلدَّارَصِينِيُّ ٱلْمَدْقُوقَيْنِ نَاعِمًا، وُيُعْصَرُ عَلَيْهَا مَنْ أَحَبَّ ٱللَّيْمُو ٱلطَّرِيُّ.
  faʔiḏā hadaʔat ʕalā n-nāri sāʕatan rufiʕat, wayuḏarru ʕalā wajhihā l-kammūnu wad-dāraṣīniyyu l-madqūqayni nāʕiman, wuyuʕṣaru ʕalayhā man ʔaḥabba l-laymū ṭ-ṭariyyu.
  And if it has rested on the fire an hour it is taken off and unto its surface one strews ground cumin and cinnamon carefully, and he who likes presses out a fresh lemon upon it.
