Originally the absolute form of Aramaic [script needed] (ʾoryā); compare Classical Syriac ܐܘܿܪܝܵܐ (ʾoryā, manger). Ultimately possibly from Akkadian 𒃡 (UR3 /⁠urû⁠/). Compare Hebrew אֻרְוָה (ʾurwâ)
