[edit]Literally, “In the sea”. From the fuller form of the phrase ܓܲܘ ܝܵܡܵܐ ܕܠܵܐ ܐܸܫܬܵܐ (gaw yāmā d-lā ištā, literally “in the sea without a bottom”).
