[edit]Borrowed from Saraiki سَرَائِیکِی (sarā'īkī), further etymology is disputed. There are multiple interpretations of this name's origin:
- Borrowed from Sindhi سِرو (sirō, “up-river, north”).[1]
- Borrowed from Sanskrit सौवीर (sauvīra, “Sauvira”).[2]
