From হ (ho, “be”) + -ইয়া (-iya, “perfect participle suffix”).
হৈয়া (hoiya)
- being
ৰাজা হৈয়া বিভীষণ থাকিল তহিতে ।
মহা বলৱন্ত চাৰিপাত্ৰ সমন্বিতে ॥- raja hoiya bibhīṣoṇo thakilo tohite ,
moha bolowonto caripatro somonbite . - Being a king Bibhishana stayed there,
with very strong four patras.
