[edit]Inherited from Middle Gujarati नाठुं, from Old Gujarati नाठउं (nāṭhaüṃ), from Prakrit 𑀡𑀝𑁆𑀞 (ṇaṭṭha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit નષ્ટ (naṣṭá). Cognate with Hindustani ناٹھ / नाठ (nāṭh), Marwari नाठणौ (nāṭhṇau), Punjabi ਨੱਠਣਾ / نَٹّھݨا (naṭṭhṇā).
