Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (ṅalyaṅ "earthquake"), and not mentioned by Luce 1981. Syllables are (nga., to be of sufficient quantity) +‎ လျင် (lyang, swift, clever); neither syllables seems to invoke their usual senses. Could this be a Mon loanword?”
